Healthy? Probably not. Authentic Mexican? Absolutely not. But this salad recipe is delicious and pure Tex-Mex. You can plus up the meat flavor by adding a little diced onion, garlic and taco seasoning when you brown it.

1 lb. ground beef

2 large tomatoes, diced

1 large head of lettuce, shredded

1 pound of sharp cheddar cheese, grated

1 can of Ranch-style beans (15 oz), drained

1 large onion, chopped

1 package of taco-flavored Doritos

1 bottle of Catalina salad dressing

Brown meat and drain. Combine all ingredients, but wait to add the chips and salad dressing until just before serving.
